This statue is sold.
Solid bronze Pagan style (Burma) standing Buddha. Probably 19th century or earlier with traces of gilding on the face.
Bought as:
“Original bronze Pagan Buddha – 12/13th century – Burma”
It is still not clear if it is original from this period or not. Because the statue is solid it is impossible to date it.
One thing is clear it is stunning in its beauty. Too good to be true?
